Since receiving his meteorology degree, he has planned to work as an on-air meteorologist at any local T.V. station that decides to hire him. Meteorologist David Aldrich, previously employed by FOX 29 in Philadelphia, was Brian's inspiration to go into the field of broadcast meteorology. Brian already has experience in broadcast meteorology because he got to work with the green screen in high school and even on SUNY Oswego's T.V. station, WTOP 10.
Brian also has experience in the radio business. When he was 16 years old, he broadcasted live with The Booker Show on Philly's Q102 from 6 AM to 10 AM on February 18th, 2008, and provided weather updates throughout the morning. Also, he used to have his own radio show every week on SUNY Oswego's radio station, 88.9 FM WNYO.
In October 2011, Brian became a forecaster for SUNY Oswego's Lake Effect Storm Prediction and Research Center (LESPaRC). He forecasted for schools in the southeastern / eastern Lake Ontario region. He created hour-by-hour forecasts for temperatures, winds, wind chills, conditions, and snowfall rates. Brian also created snowfall maps on days with accumulating snow.
Brian loves the warm weather in the spring and summer so he can ride his bike around his hometown of Stratford. His favorite Philly sports team is the Phillies, and he loves attending Phillies games with his fiancee and his family. Brian also loves visiting the Jersey Shore and sitting on the beach all day. However, his favorite vacation spot is the Catskill Mountains in New York and he visits there a few times each year.
You can find Brian on Facebook and can also see his previous experience in broadcast meteorology on YouTube.
