Source: National Hurricane CenterAs of 5 PM, our tropical depression has formed into Tropical Storm Earl way out in the Central Atlantic. It will feature a similar path as Danielle. It has a west-northwest track and could become a hurricane by 2 PM Friday. There is no threat to land within the next 3 to 5 days.
The last observation at 5 PM had sustained winds for Earl at 40 mph and it was moving west at 16 mph.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Danielle continues to spin out in the Atlantic with no threat to land. Her current winds (as of 5 PM) are 85 mph and she is moving northwest at 17 mph.
