Tonight: Lake effect snow showers and squalls for western Oswego County. 2 to 6 inches of snow is possible for this area, especially near the shoreline. Elsewhere, clouds thicken and area-wide light snow moves in late at night. Coating to 1 inch is likely by daybreak. Lows will drop to around 20 degrees in Syracuse. West to southwest winds become south overnight 5 to 10 mph. The chance of snow tonight is about 40 percent. The sunset this evening is at 5:10 PM.

Friday: Light snow and flurries with some breaks of sun. Another coating to 1 inch is likely during the day. High near 31 degrees. Light and variable winds will become north 3 to 8 mph. The chance of snow is about 40 percent.

Saturday: More light snow is likely with little accumulation. High around 29 degrees. The chance of snow is about 60 percent.

Sunday: Partly sunny with scattered flurries. Colder with a high near 23 degrees. The chance of snow is around 30 percent.
