March 11th, 2011 Forecast

Tonight: Steady, heavier rain develops overnight. Temperatures hold steady in the mid-40s. East winds 15 to 25 mph in the evening will become 10 to 20 mph overnight before diminishing by morning. The chance of rain is about 100 percent. See the map below for the flooding potential across Central New York. The sunset tonight is at 6:04 PM.

Friday: The steady rain should end early in the morning. The remainder of the day will consist of clouds with some sunny breaks and a leftover shower (40 percent chance). Temperatures will be a bit warmer than Thursday with a high near 50 degrees. East winds 5 to 10 mph in the morning will become south 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday: Plenty of clouds with scattered light snow showers. Look for some breaks of sun through the clouds. There is also the possibility of an afternoon rain shower. The chance of precipitation is about 40 percent. Expect a high temperature around 44 degrees. Don't forget to turn your clocks forward one hour late Saturday night. 2 AM will become 3 AM as we switch to Daylight Saving Time.

Sunday: Partly sunny with scattered snow showers and flurries. The high will be near 39 degrees. The chance of snow is around 30 percent.
