April 22nd, 2011 Forecast

The high in Syracuse on Wednesday was a warm 70 degrees. Fulton got to 64 degrees and Oswego got to 62 degrees. Temperatures today are about 25 to 30 degrees colder !

Tonight: Mostly clear and cold. The record low for Friday morning is 25 degrees, set back in 1984. Lows tonight will be close to that record low in some rural areas outside of Syracuse. In Syracuse, expect a low around 29 degrees. Winds will diminish to about 5 to 10 mph out of the north-northeast. The sunset tonight is at 7:54 PM.

Good Friday: Sun gives way to increasing clouds. Not as cool with a high near 56 degrees. There is a slight chance of a sprinkle late in the day for the southwestern Finger Lakes. Winds will be out of the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.

Saturday: Rain and thunder in the morning will taper to spotty showers. It will be windy and milder with some breaks of sun in the afternoon. The high will be near 66 degrees. The chance of rain is about 70 percent.

Easter Sunday: Mostly cloudy and cooler. Showers are possible, especially to the south and southwest of Syracuse. The high will be around 57 degrees. The chance of rain is currently about 40 percent. Stay tuned for updates.
