Tonight: Starry skies and chilly with diminishing winds. Expect localized patchy frost and fog for the colder outlying areas. Lows will range from 26 degrees in the Catskill Mountains to 37 degrees near Lake Ontario. West winds at 5 to 10 mph will shift from the west-southwest overnight. The sunset tonight is at 8:10 PM.

Friday: After a chilly start under bright sun, look for increasing afternoon clouds. It will be milder with a high near 64 degrees in Syracuse. However, it will hold in the mid-50s along the Lake Ontario shore. There is a 30 percent chance of a late day shower. Winds will be from the west and west-southwest at 5 to 15 mph with gusts to 20 mph.

Saturday: After morning clouds, drizzle, or a shower, expect a mix of sun and clouds for the afternoon. There will still be the possibility of a brief passing shower in the afternoon. The high will be near 65 degrees. The chance of rain is about 30 percent.

Mother's Day: More clouds than sun with a 40 percent chance of scattered showers. The high will be around 64 degrees.
