Weekly Recap, May 15-21, 2011

Well, we had an unsettled stretch of weather last week. Temperatures were rather cool the first three days of the week, but recovered into the 70s for the remaining four days. Saturday was by far the nicest day of the week with temperatures near 80 degrees and no rainfall reported at the airport. This upcoming week is still going to be a tad unsettled with a chance for scattered or isolated showers and thunderstorms just about everyday, but it will be nothing compared to last week with much more sunshine and warmer temperatures in the 70s everyday. It is more of a summer-like weather pattern, but that's the pattern we are in. It will still be a nice week and nothing close to a washout.

By the way, our monthly rainfall at the airport is currently 3.04 inches, 0.75 inches above normal for May. For the year, the airport has officially picked up 18.51 inches of precipitation, 5.09 inches above normal by this point of the year.
