If you have been wondering where I've been concerning forecasting, i have been out storm chasing for the past 2 weeks in the midwest. We have been across 15 states and almost 6000 miles in the course of a week and a half! It's part of a 3 week program offered by SUNY Oswego to get a hands on experience out in the environment and study the weather and conditions concerning the formation of supercells. We unfortunately have not seen any tornadoes, and there are only 2 chase days left, so I will be back soon. In the meantime, here is a picture of a funnel cloud that we captured northwest of Billings, Montana.
