August 12th, 2011 Forecast

Tonight: Mostly clear and cool with a bright moon. Lows will drop between 48 degrees in the higher elevations of the Catskills to 56 degrees in the city of Syracuse. Oswego and areas along Lake Ontario will hold around 61 degrees due to the warm lake temperature. West winds will shift from the west-southwest late tonight at 5 to 10 mph. The sunset tonight is at 8:13 PM.

Friday: Bright sun with a few afternoon clouds bubbling up. There may be an isolated sprinkle or light shower in the afternoon, but the chance of this occurring is only about 5 percent. The high will be near 81 degrees in Syracuse with upper 70s elsewhere. West-southwest winds will shift from the west-northwest in the afternoon at 5 to 15 mph.

Saturday: Sun to clouds, warmer, and more humid. There is a 20 percent chance of a spotty thunderstorm in the afternoon. Expect a high around 86 degrees.

Sunday: There is a possibility that Sunday could be a wash-out. As of now, it looks like there will be occasional showers and thunderstorms, with the current rain chance at 60 percent. We will continue to monitor this over the next couple of days. The high on Sunday will be near 74 degrees.
