Tonight: Snow from Syracuse to points south and east. A general coating to 2 inches is expected, but the hilltops could see as much as 5 inches. Low around 30 degrees. Winds will be out of the northwest at 10 to 20 mph.

Thursday: Windy and chilly with some breaks of sun. There is a 30 percent chance of flurries throughout the day. High of 39 degrees. Winds will be out of the west at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

Friday: Breezy with a 40 percent chance of snow showers, mainly in the afternoon. High in the lower 40s.

Saturday: Snow showers end early, otherwise, cold with a mix of sun and clouds. High in the lower 30s. The chance of snow is 20 percent.

Sunday: Mostly sunny and not as cold. High near 40.
