The warm front that brought rain over the area today will move out of the area, bringing the rain chance with it. High pressure will begin to take over, bringing the nice sunny skies and southerly winds for the rest of the week. It'll be almost Indian Summer as highs reach into the low 70s.
Some of you may have been hearing about the potential for a huge storm to impact our area by next week. I am not going to comment much on this since it is still too far in advance. As of right now, some models including the Canadian model and the GFS have what is now tropical storm Sandy moving up the east coast and out into the Atlantic. Other models such as the ECMWF have the storm moving over Long Island and impacting the mid Atlantic and New England. It is far too early to give too much detail about this event. We will keep you updated.
