November 12th, 2012 Forecast

Forecast Discussion: Over the last few days the robust southerly flow ahead of a strong cold front to the west associated with the large low pressure system centered over central Canada presently has given the central New York near-record to record warmth. This pattern will continue into Monday before the front makes its final approach to our area by Monday night into early Tuesday with some showers Monday evening ahead of the cold front(that being the leading edge to the cold air mass moving towards the region). This cold front will return us to lows in the upper 20's and lower 30's overnight Tuesday and Wednesday with some moderation by later in the week with the passage of another weak area of low pressure. Stay tuned for updates on this approaching cold air and the timing of it all during the day tomorrow!
