December 3rd, 2012 Forecast

Forecast Discussion: Central New York has seen everything from light snow during Friday afternoon/evening to rain moving into our neck of the woods during the day today. As this rain moves out of the region, a cold front will drag through the region overnight which will help to make us cooler and drier. As we go into the day tomorrow, it will be cloudy with highs near 45. Going through the overnight into Tuesday morning, temperatures will be rising overnight as we are influenced by a southerly flow out ahead of another stronger low pressure approaching from the Midwest. This may bring the potential for near-record warmth close to if not above 60 when the average is in the low 40's. By Tuesday night the cold front associated with this low will be coming through; bringing in much colder air. This may also bring about the possibility of some lake effect snows for Wednesday before much quieter conditions come back into the mix for Thursday and much of Friday.
