As high pressure to our southeast continues its eastward movement, winds will begin to shift to the southwest allowing slightly warmer temperatures for the day Thursday. A cold front will move over the area Friday, but thanks to a limited amount of moisture with it we will not see much of any precipitation with it. The front will make temperatures cooler for Friday, but we will see a nice rebound in temperatures as a warm front moves over the area Sunday, along with the threat of showers.
There is an interesting situation in the models for next week. Both the GFS and the ECMWF are showing a stationary front, but both do not agree on its position. The GFS keeps us in the warmer air for next week while the ECMWF keeps us in the colder air. Will be monitoring this as it becomes more clear.
Bottom line forecast: Expect sunny skies with intervals of clouds towards the weekend. Highs will be around 50 tomorrow, but will cool off to the mid 40s Friday due to the cold front. We will rebound into the lower 50s Sunday with the threat of showers. As for next week, keep in touch.
