September 9th, 2010 Forecast

Now: It is a cloudy, cool, and breezy afternoon across Central New York. Temperatures are generally in the lower 60s with west winds in the 10 to 20 mph range. Lake effect rain showers will be developing tonight and affecting the counties to the east and southeast of Lake Ontario into Thursday and Friday.

Tonight: Breezy with lake effect rain showers developing. Low temperatures will be in the 49 to 56 range. West-northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph will cause the band of lake effect rain showers to affect the counties to the east and southeast of Lake Ontario. The sunset tonight is at 7:27 PM.

Thursday: Continued cool and breezy with more lake effect rain showers. High temperatures will be around 62 degrees. West-northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph will continue to cause the lake effect rain showers to affect the counties to the east and southeast of the lake. The UV Index will be a 3, which means you can burn in about 55 minutes.

Friday: There may be a few leftover lake effect rain showers in the morning. Otherwise, clouds will SLOWLY decrease throughout the remainder of the day. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s.

Saturday: We warm up to more seasonable levels for early September. Mostly sunny with a high around 73 degrees.
