October 12th, 2010 Forecast

Now: A mostly cloudy afternoon with temperatures in the lower 60s. There are a few showers south of the New York State Thruway, but the chance of rain for the remainder of the afternoon is only 30 percent. The showers will fade by midnight tonight, giving way to a pretty nice day on Tuesday.

Tonight: A 30 percent chance of a few showers south of the Thruway until around midnight. Then skies become partly cloudy and it turns chilly. Lows will be near 40 degrees in Central New York and in the lower to mid-30s in the North Country. Northwest winds will become east-northeast overnight at 5 to 10 mph. The sunset tonight is at 6:28 PM.

Tuesday: Scattered clouds, cooler. High temperatures will hold in the mid-50s in Central New York. Winds will be out of the north at 5 to 15 mph.

Wednesday: Bright sun, still cool with highs near 58 degrees.

Thursday: Sun to clouds with a 40 percent chance of showers late in the day. It will be breezy with highs around 60.

Friday: As of now, Friday looks windy and mostly cloudy with the possibility of some scattered showers. Stay tuned. Highs should be around 55 degrees.
