October 2nd and 3rd, 2010 Forecast

Now: A mix of clouds and sun is being seen across the area this afternoon. Temperatures are on the cool side, in the lower 60s, with a breeze out of the north-northwest around 15 mph. It is much better than Thursday when Syracuse received about 3 inches of rain, with 4 to 7 inches of rain across most places in Central New York. There were even some isolated areas that received over 7 inches of rain !

Tonight: Partly cloudy and seasonably chilly. There is a 20 percent chance of an isolated lake effect rain shower southeast of Lake Ontario. Winds will be out of the northwest and north at 5 to 10 mph. The sunset tonight is at 6:46 PM.

Saturday and Saturday Night: Very cool with a mix of sun and clouds. There is a 20 percent chance of an isolated shower during the day, but the rain chance increases to 60 percent at night. Highs will hold in the mid to upper 50s. Winds will be out of the north-northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Lows will drop into the 30s overnight, except near Lake Ontario, with north-northeast winds at 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday and Sunday Night: Chilly with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will hold in the lower 50s. There is a 30 percent chance of a spotty shower. Winds will be from the north around 5 to 10 mph. Frost is possible Sunday night as lows drop into the lower to mid-30s !
