November 4th, 2010 Forecast

Now: We are seeing a sunny and milder afternoon with most locations in the lower 50s. Syracuse should top out around 54 by the end of the afternoon. Skies are filled with bright sunshine and just a few high thin cirrus clouds. Unfortunately, if you like this kind of weather (as I do), you will have to wait until next week to experience it again.

Tonight: Increasing clouds and not as cold. Syracuse started Wednesday morning at 27 degrees, but tonight we should only drop into the mid to upper 30s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. There is a 30 percent chance of a brief shower or sprinkle toward daybreak. The sunset tonight is at 5:54 PM.

Thursday: Clouds thicken and give way to at least some periods of rain. The steadiest rain appears to be south and east of Syracuse. Highs will be a bit cooler, holding in the mid to upper 40s across the area. South-southwest winds 5 to 15 mph. The chance of rain during the day on Thursday is currently around 60 percent.

Friday: Windy and colder with scattered snow and rain showers. The chance of precipitation again is around 60 percent. High temperatures will only be around 42 degrees.

Saturday: Cold and windy with a 40 percent chance of scattered flurries or snow showers. There will be some breaks of sun. Highs will struggle to get out of the upper 30s. Wind chills will be in the teens and 20s.
