March 12th, 2013 Forecast

Discussion: Sadly, the beautiful sunny and warm past couple of days have met its end (typical of the transition month of March) as high pressure that gave us this weather moves farther east out of the area. Following this high is a low pressure bringing with it a cold front, which will bring a return to more average temperatures, along with the threat of rain tonight and Tuesday (the high for tomorrow will occur tomorrow morning as temperatures will be dropping throughout the day). Once the cold front passes, the chance of snow showers will remain through Thursday as an upper level trough and associated moisture passes over. Skies will clear in time for Friday as high pressure tries to build in from the south. Another low pressure will quickly follow for Saturday, but it will be a quick mover and should be out of the area by Sunday.
