February 4th, 2011 Forecast

Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow on Wednesday. This means that we will have an early start to spring this year. We will see what happens !

Tonight: Starry skies and bitter cold for all of Central and Southern New York. Lows in the single-digits except near Lake Ontario. South-southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. The sunset this evening is at 5:19 PM.

Friday: Sunny skies and chilly. High near 27 degrees. There will be a slight breeze out of the southwest 10 to 20 mph.

Saturday: A weak coastal storm will move up the east coast. One track brings some snow into our area, but the other track has it missing us to the southeast. Stay tuned for updates. The high will be near 33 degrees in the afternoon. Currently the chance of snow is about 60 percent.

Sunday: Not as cold with occasional light snow showers and flurries. Expect a high around 35 degrees. The chance of snow is about 40 percent.
