August 23rd, 2011 Forecast

Cooler air will begin to move in through our area as a result of the passing cold front. As a result, some lake effect showers and thunderstorms may form this morning and afternoon south and east of Lake Ontario. High pressure will move in and dominate our weather on Tuesday and into Wednesday with a chance of showers coming in for Thursday

Today: Chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially south and east of Lake Ontario. Highs be in the lower 70s. Winds will be from the WNW between 10-15mph

Tonight: Skies becoming clear to partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 50s. NW wind between 10-20mph

Tuesday/Tuesday Night: Clear to partly cloudy. Highs in the mid to upper 70s. Lows in the upper 50s. South wind between 10-15mph

Wednesday/Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy during the day, then becoming mostly cloudy overnight. Showers will be possible during the night. Highs in the mid 80s. Lows in the upper 60s.

Thursday (Start of NYS Fair): Partly Sunny with a chance of thunderstorms. Highs near 80
