August 25th, 2011 Forecast

A low pressure system is gaining strength just to the north of the Great Lakes region, which explains the windy conditions that are over CNY. That low pressure will swing a cold front through our area later tonight and for the day Thursday, allowing us to have dry weather for the day Friday (band camp picnic looks good). Our next big question is the track of Hurricane Irene and how that could have an impact on us into Sunday and early next week.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms becoming likely later tonight. Lows in the mid to upper 60s. South wind between 10-15mph.

Thursday/Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Highs in the upper 70s. Lows near 60. Winds turning westward around 5mph

Friday and Saturday: Partly Sunny. Highs in the mid 70s. Lows near 60.
