November 24th and 25th, 2012 Forecast

Forecast Discussion: A cold front passing through the Northeast overnight tonight will be ushering much colder air into the central New York region. This cold blast will be triggering lake effect snow off of Lake Ontario as well as Lake Erie tonight through Tuesday. Some areas could see up to or over 6" of new snowfall; particularly over the Tug Hill plateau in the north country of CNY. Wednesday seems to contain the possibility of additional snowfall with a weak low pressure system possibly giving us some additional snowfall. By Thursday through next weekend we are anticipating clearing. Stay tuned for updates with us right here at cnyweather.blogspot.com on this upcoming lake effect event!
