Lake effect snows have once again set up east of both Lakes Erie and Ontario in their respective snow belts. Lake Ontario's snow band is forecasted to move southward tonight and to set itself up over the Eastern Finger Lakes region for much of the day Friday. Accumulations will be mostly light, but some places could reach up to 6 inches depending on how intense the band is. The band will retreat northward Friday night, and will only leave us with the slight threat of snow showers for the weekend. A weak low pressure will move over the area by Sunday and will bring some light snow for the area through the day Monday before weak high pressure moves in for Tuesday.
