January 14th, 2013 Forecast

Forecast Discussion: As this cloudy and foggy weekend which made for tricky travel ends many raise the question of whether winter will come back with a vengeance as we remain with a deficit of snowfall across the region. As we go into the first part of this week temperatures will be the story with well above average highs on Monday in the mid 40's. Heading towards the middle of the week we will get into more seasonable temperatures as a much colder Arctic air mass currently over Canada nudges its way into our region. This will translate into daytime temperatures dropping back down into the low-mid 30's with overnight lows getting as low as teens and single digits locally. For this reason be sure to bundle up in layers as you head out to work and school. The coming cold air blast may also crank up some lake effect snows during the day Wednesday through as late as Friday. Check in with us for updates through the week on this latest blast of cold and snowy weather heading our way!
