High pressure currently over the Midwest will continue to move southward towards the gulf states. Winds will begin to shift from west to north through the day Wednesday, and the lake effect band that has been giving much of the north country heavy snow will begin to weaken and dissipate by Thursday as another high pressure from Canada begins to move over the area.
Our next storm system will begin to move from Canada towards the lower Great Lakes by Friday evening, and will reform off the east coast Saturday morning. Nothing major is expected from this storm minus a few snow showers. High pressure will take control for the end of the weekend as temperatures start to slowly climb.
