Two words can describe last week: snow and cold. Most of the lake effect snow last week fell across Oswego County where some places, such as Fulton, got 3 to 4 feet ! Syracuse only picked up 4.7 inches of snow last week, but the frigid air over us was enough for most people to deal with. Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings all started off below zero with even colder wind chills. Wednesday didn't even make it to 10 above for a high.
I have a feeling that a lot of the snow that fell last week will be melting during the first part of this week. We could be near 50 degrees on Wednesday. After that, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday all look favorable for lake effect snow this week. It's still a little too early to tell where exactly the lake effect bands will set up, but some significant accumulations will be possible if the bands sit over one area for a long period of time. We'll certainly be keeping an eye on it for you as the week progresses.
