Forecast Discussion: As we enter the latter half of the winter, expect to see somewhat moderating trends with less frequent/severe cold-air outbreaks. For the coming week, we will not see that just yet as a number of low pressure systems will make their way into our area. For Monday, we are looking at a possibility of some lingering lake effect snow showers or flurries around. By Tuesday, we are monitoring the potential for a storm to bring a wintry mix of rain/snow into the area. Behind this departing system, Wednesday will feature the chance for possible lake effect snow east of Lake Ontario with seasonably chilly temperatures in the 20s. Looking ahead to Thursday, we clear out nicely with just a few flurries around before we see yet another opportunity for more wintry weather to arrive on Friday.
