February 18th, 2013 Forecast

Forecast Discussion: Scattered clouds and lake effect snow showers have been the theme through today and this trend will continue through the overnight as well. Heading through the overnight period, the lake effect snows will reach their peak intensity before all the snow tapers off and ends by mid-morning tomorrow. The overnight lows will be frigid with temperatures at or below 10 degrees so be sure to bundle up. Monday will bring the return of high pressure with mostly sunny skies and seasonable temperatures. This all ends Monday evening as clouds increase in the wake of another low pressure system encroaching on our area. Monday's overnight lows will likely be a few degrees warmer but still keep the winter jacket handy. Tuesday will be an all-around mess with a wintry mix impacting our region for the majority of the day. Overnight Tuesday and into Wednesday we will see this wintry mix change over to all snow with possibly significant accumulations. Stay tuned through the week with updates as we get closer to the mid-week storm!
