Forecast Discussion: Through the first half of today we watched some light flurries move through courtesy of a weak shortwave moving east of the area with temperatures hovering in the upper 20's. As we go through tonight we will observe wind a shift in the winds from generally variable to out of the WNW which will set up yet another lake effect snow event from late tonight right through tomorrow morning's commute and through much of the day. The latest data is suggesting a generally 4-8" snowfall likely for the greater Oswego area with heavier amounts possible if the snow persists heavier and longer in certain areas. There is no reason to rule out a 6-12"+ snowfall for Oswego so be mindful as you make plans for this evening and tomorrow heading as you head out to work or school. Beyond tomorrow we will continue to be monitoring the possibility of continued lake effect snows as the wind and moisture combination will remain ideal through much of Tuesday as well. By the end of Tuesday the lake effect snows will taper off as leftover flurries leaving much of our area stuck in the lower 20's by night.
