Surprisingly enough, Syracuse Hancock Airport recorded no measurable precipitation last week. There were spotty rain/snow showers or just flurries/sprinkles around at various times throughout the week, but they were all so light that there wasn't enough precipitation to be measured. Our seasonal snowfall total remains at 103.4 inches, for now. As you can see from our forecast below, there are snow chances during the first half of this week.
Temperatures were below normal all last week until Saturday. Our normal high this time of year is 50 degrees. Saturday was definitely the nicest day of the week with bright sunshine and milder temperatures away from the lake-shore. Places along the lake-shore, like Oswego and Sodus, held closer to 40 degrees on Saturday, but Syracuse reached 53. Temperatures likely won't reach normal levels again until at least Thursday, but that will be short-lived. By the end of the upcoming weekend we may finally enter a more typical springtime pattern.
