After what seemed like an extremely long winter, we are finally beginning to show signs of spring trying to establish its grip across the northeast. We are getting warmer temperatures across the area, plus the traditional April showers. It looks to remain that way for much of the week as a boundary between warm air and cold air parks itself near us while various disturbances ride along it. The first one will come tonight as low pressure quickly moves eastward from the Great Lakes. With it, we can expect scattered showers, and even the threat of thunderstorms across much of the area tonight. It will move out of the area by tomorrow morning, and a majority of tomorrow will be similar to today. The next system will approach for Tuesday evening with more rain showers, followed by yet another system for Thursday night. A cold front will be the final system to move through for the day Friday, and with it we can expect showers and a chance of thunderstorms. The weekend so far looks cooler with some possible rain showers.
