January 12th, 2011 Forecast

A large storm will ride up the east coast dumping heavy snow over much of the northeast corridor. Up here in CNY we will stay pretty much in the lighter part of the snow, mostly 3-5 inches worth. Lake effect snows will develop behind this low pressure, amounts are not certain at this time.

Tonight: Snow. Accumulations 3-5 inches, higher amounts to the south and east. Lows near 20. Light northeast wind.

Wednesday/Wednesday Night: Snow gradually tapering off. Lake effect developing overnight. Accumulations 1-3 inches. Highs in the mid 20s. Lows in the mid teens. East wind 5-10mph

Thursday/Thursday Night: Chance of snow showers. Highs in the lower 20s. Lows in the mid teens.
