New Year's Eve 2012 Forecast

Forecast Discussion: A dry conclusion to this weekend will give way to much colder air coming into the central New York region which will bring back the possibility of lake effect snow to our region. Through tonight into tomorrow(New Years Eve) there could very well be a bit of accumulating snowfall across the region with a general 2-4" of new snowfall looking possible. Heading into the New Year, there will be a continued chance of lake effect snow showers across the region right through Wednesday night. Going into Thursday things will quiet down before a weak clipper system approaches our area for the time frame of Thursday night through the first half of Friday. Through the majority of this period we will see very below-average temperatures will highs below freezing through the entire week. Overnight lows may even approach the ) mark by Wednesday night. If you must go out, be sure you dress in layers and bundle up! On behalf of the entire CNY weather forecast crew, we would like to wish everyone a very happy and healthy new year! Stay tuned for updates through the week right here at cnyweather.blogspot.com for up-to-date forecasts on this latest cold blast!
