February 9th and 10th, 2013 Forecast

Forecast Discussion: Through the overnight hours and into the first part of tomorrow morning Winter Storm Nemo will continue impacting our region. Light to moderate snowfall will continue accumulating to generally between 5-10 inches just the south and east of Lake Ontario. It is important to note that locally higher amounts will be possible in any heavier banding which sets up through the remainder of this event. After it clears by midday tomorrow the clean-up begins with just a few possible leftover flurries and then clearer conditions in place through all of Sunday. By Sunday night clouds will re-thicken as another storm approaches the region from the Midwest. This will likely usher in more precipitation in the form of freezing rain changing to rain later that day. Stay tuned through the weekend for updates and send us your snow totals from Nemo!
