Tonight: Lake effect snow. Many areas southeast of Lake Ontario will receive an additional 3 to 6 inches of snow tonight. Most others will receive 1 to 3 inches. Windy with a low around 23 degrees in Syracuse. West-northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts near 35 mph. The chance of snow is about 80 percent.

Tuesday: Lake effect snow. Additional accumulation will generally be 1 to 3 inches, but up to 3 to 6 inches is possible in persistent snow bands. Cold and windy with a high near 29 degrees. West-northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts around 35 mph. The chance of snow is about 80 percent. The sunset this evening is at 4:29 PM.

Wednesday: Lake effect snow showers. 1 to 3 inches. Cold with a high around 27 degrees. Chance of snow 60 percent.

Thursday: Early lake effect snow ends, but a bitter cold day is expected. High temperature only around 24 degrees.
